What our fringe cut includes
Your stylist checks your current shape, trims to your preferred length, and texturises the ends so the fringe blends naturally. The whole process takes about 10–15 minutes. No wash is included — this is a dry-cut service designed for speed and precision.
If your fringe needs a bigger reshape or you want to try a completely new style, your stylist may recommend a full women's cut instead, which includes fringe work as part of the overall shape.
Popular Korean fringe styles
Korean bangs focus on soft, face-framing shapes rather than blunt, heavy lines. Here are the most requested styles at Miin.
- Curtain bangs — Parted in the centre and swept to each side, framing the face. Our most popular Korean fringe cut, especially for round and oval face shapes.
- See through bangs — Thin, wispy bangs that sit lightly on the forehead. You can see skin through the hair, which keeps the look airy and youthful. Great for smaller foreheads or anyone who wants bangs without heaviness.
- Air fringe — Similar to see-through bangs but with slightly more volume and a softer arc. The air fringe is a Korean salon signature — light enough to move naturally but shaped enough to hold its look.
- Side-swept fringe — Longer bangs swept to one side. Works well if you want to ease into bangs or prefer an asymmetric frame.
- Full bangs — A thicker, straight-across fringe. Less common in Korean styling but still available if that's your preference.
What makes a Korean fringe cut different
Korean stylists cut bangs dry, not wet. Dry cutting lets your stylist see exactly how the hair falls and where it naturally parts — so there are no surprises when you leave the salon. This matters especially for fringe, where even a few millimetres change the look.
Texturising is key. Instead of cutting straight across, your stylist uses point cutting and slide cutting to thin the ends and create softness. That's what gives Korean bangs their signature lightness — whether it's a see-through fringe or fuller curtain bangs.
Who should book a fringe cut
A fringe cut is the right choice if any of these apply.
- Maintenance trim — Your fringe has grown past your eyes or lost its shape. A quick trim every 3–4 weeks keeps it looking fresh.
- Post-perm touch-up — Had a fringe perm or fringe rebonding? The shape may need a trim as it grows out.
- Trying bangs for the first time — Want to test a fringe without committing to a full haircut? A standalone fringe trim in Singapore is a low-risk way to try the look.
- Event prep — Quick clean-up before a photo, event, or trip. No appointment needed for most fringe cuts — just walk in.
Fringe cut vs full haircut
A fringe cut trims only the bangs area. A full haircut reshapes the entire head — including the fringe. Here's when each makes sense.
- Fringe cut ($12–$25) — For maintenance trims when the rest of your hair is fine. Quick, no wash included.
- Women's cut ($60–$95) — For a full reshape including fringe, layers, and overall length. Includes wash, blow-dry, and styling.
