What is the scalp ampoule?
It's a single-dose vial of concentrated scalp treatment. Each vial contains active ingredients — including royal jelly, biotin, and minerals — that nourish and soothe the scalp on contact.
Unlike a rinse-out product, the ampoule stays on your scalp after application. It keeps working after you leave the salon, so your scalp stays hydrated between visits. Think of it as a serum for your scalp — similar to how a face serum delivers concentrated ingredients to your skin.
How the scalp ampoule is applied
Your stylist applies the ampoule during your regular wash, so it fits into any appointment without adding significant time.
- Shampoo — Your hair is washed as part of your normal service.
- Apply — The vial is cracked open, and your stylist distributes the product across your scalp section by section using the built-in applicator.
- Massage — The ampoule is gently massaged into the scalp to help it absorb.
- Done — No rinsing needed. Your stylist continues with your blow-dry or styling as normal.
Who should add the scalp ampoule?
The ampoule is designed for scalp hydration and nourishment. It's especially useful if any of the following apply.
- Dry or tight scalp — If your scalp feels dry, flaky, or tight — especially after washing — a scalp hydration treatment helps restore moisture and calm irritation.
- After colour or bleach — Chemical services can leave your scalp feeling sensitive or stripped. The ampoule soothes and rehydrates the scalp after processing. This is a great Korean scalp treatment to pair with any colour service.
- Sensitive scalp — If your scalp reacts easily to products or weather changes, the nourishing formula helps keep it calm and balanced.
- Seasonal dryness — Air conditioning in Singapore can dry out your scalp over time. Regular ampoule treatments help offset that.
Scalp ampoule vs other scalp and hair services
We offer several add-ons and treatments at Miin. Here's how the scalp ampoule compares.
- Scalp Ampoule ($35) — Concentrated leave-in scalp nourishing treatment. Quick add-on for dry or sensitive scalps. No rinse. Applied after shampooing.
- Scalp Protector ($35) — Protective barrier spray applied before a chemical service (colour, bleach, perm) to prevent scalp irritation during processing. Different purpose from the ampoule.
- Hair Mask ($35) — Hydrating mask for the hair (mid-lengths to ends) with light massage. Targets dry or frizzy hair, not the scalp.
- Scalp Treatment ($75) — A full 30-minute scalp program with camera analysis, multi-step cleanse, and targeted treatment for oily, dry, sensitive, or dandruff-prone scalps. Much more comprehensive than the ampoule.
Scalp ampoule pricing
The scalp ampoule is a flat $35 add-on regardless of hair length or stylist level. Just mention it when you book or ask your stylist during your appointment.
Your stylist can also recommend it if they notice your scalp is dry or sensitive during your service. As a dry scalp treatment in Singapore, it takes almost no extra time — just a quick application during your wash.
