3. Softening solution (30–45 min) — a rebonding cream is applied to the upper section to soften the hair. Timing is monitored based on your hair’s thickness and response.
4. Flat-ironing the roots — the upper portion is straightened with a flat iron, sealing in the new smooth structure. Your stylist controls the intensity — volume rebonding keeps natural body, while full rebonding creates pin-straight results.
5. Rod wrapping and perm solution — the lower section is wound around heated digital perm rods. A perming solution is applied and the rods are heated to set the curls.
